At each annual meeting, the ESDR invites internationally recognised scientists to give special lectures. Our speakers are selected for their oratory skills and their scientific excellence. The following major speakers have confirmed their attendance.
Frontiers lectures
Dermatology has numerous interfaces with basic science fields and a regular update in these areas is crucial for the further development of dermatological research. The purpose of the Frontiers in Skin Biology and Dermatology lectures is to provide overviews about about emerging fields in science including non-dermatological topics that are relevant for experimental and clinical dermatology. These talks are principally intended as essential updates for "non-experts". The Frontiers lectures are likely to be two of the most popular sessions at the 2017 ESDR meeting.
Clinical Saturday
The main mission of the ESDR is to foster basic research in dermatology and skin biology. To increase dialogue between basic scientists and clinicians at the annual meeting, ESDR includes the 2017 EADV Guest Lecture (Michael Hertl), Clinical Saturday Lectures and a clinical track including poster walks as part of the meeting program. Clinical Saturday 2017 is run in association with the European Academy for Dermatology and Venereology (EADV).
